Alongside her personal work, Karen has set up Seabournes Studios. Seabournes has been set up with two things in mind: to run workshops with professional artists and to provide a series of non-tutored retreats where artists can focus on their own work. Tuition can take place in the studio or en plein air in the beautiful gardens which run down to and along the River Wye.

Seabournes is located near the market towns of Ross on Wye, Ledbury and the cathedral City of Hereford, on a stretch of river known as the Middle Wye.

Courses to date are run by artists such as Aldo Balding, Roger Dellar, Torsten Wolber, Jenny Aitken and Thorgrimur Einarrson.
